Opinion/Accolades:
Located in the foothills of the towering Helderberg mountains, a mere 6km from False Bay and within sight of the Atlantic Ocean, these relatively high-altitude vineyards enjoy the full benefit of cooling sea breezes and rolling ocean mists. The southern sloping, well-drained sand, gravel and granitic clay soils contribute to an ideal terroir promoting a natural balance between the vigour of the young vines and their yields.
The experienced winemaker, Bernard Le Roux has been a part of the Foothills team since early 2014 and is passionate about producing site specific wines which reflect their unique terroir.

Appearance: Aroma: Taste
Delicate copper pink showcased by a flint bottle. An original blend, designed to offer something different: Shiraz for the color and berry flavor, Semillon for the mouthfeel and Viognier for the aromatic perfume and tropical notes. The effect is complex, with interwoven layers of fresh strawberries, greengage, a touch of winter melon and fynbos, and Viognier’s floral top note. It’s expressive yet elegant and sophisticated. And bone dry, which means food pairing is no problem, yet also good enough to drink on its own. 83% Shiraz, Semillon, Viognier
Personal Food pairing:
Elegant, dry, clean and fresh, this is the quintessential food wine, can partner almost anything.
